The Iritech IriShield USB BK 2121U is a dual iris camera of the IriShield™ Series.

The Iritech IriShield BK 2121U uses the industry-leading iris matching and iris image quality evaluation algorithms from IriTech to deliver high-quality images, minimise false positives, and increase true positive recognition rates. A matching query against 1000 stored templates can be finished by the integrated algorithms in just 0.5 seconds.

The iris capture module is housed in a binoculars-like casing, so the irises are photographed at a fixed distance. The camera may be used outside thanks to its sealed casing and infrared LED illumination.

The camera may be used both indoors and outdoors and employs infrared LEDs to illuminate the subject's eyes. The manufacturer states that the iris images that were obtained comply with ISO/IEC 19794-6. The USB-powered camera can be utilised in desktop and mobile applications.
