IriShield IriTech RD Service Registration of Biometric Device Service - RD Service Renewal for IriTech Iris Scanner is a mandatory registration for all existing devices to achieve L0 status. Soon L0 devices will be obsolete and L1 devices will be used only for Aadhaar Authentication

IriShield's IriTech MK2120U or MK2120UL are single iris scanners used in Aadhaar child enrollment and aadhaar authentication. RD Service Recharge also provides the core functionality of biometric capture. The UIDAI server, on the other hand, provides the functionality of authenticating the biometric data captured by the RD service against its own database.

The device needs to be registered with the SecuGen Management Server as well as with UIDAI before it can be used for Aadhaar-based authentication.

This will be done automatically by the RD Service software and generally does not require any user intervention. The RD Service Management Client also provides ways to activate a device manually if required.

The basic error while using IriTech's IriShield MK 2120UL is:

On plugging the IriShield device and tapping the Test capture or Init button showing there is no device in the device list.

Please check your wire connection, USB/OTG cable will be properly connected, then retry after the plugin again.

 “DEVICE_BUSY” over IriShield Client Management Windows  

The Management Client or other services accessing the device in which it is automatically initialized, at that time device showing busy and you aren't able to use it on IriShield Client Management  Windows or in another application, please check and turn off that application and again initialize. 

 “SERVER_COMMUNICATION_ERROR”  

Check your internet connection and if still the issue exists then contact us.

‘Invalid device serial number’ or ‘Device subscription is expired’ while pressing the ‘Init’ button

Invalid MC codes: 

1. 527: Invalid MC 

  MC value expired OR register devices with another environment => User has to initialise the device with the same environment again.

2. 521: Invalid DC 

  Devices registration expired => Need to register the device. 

3. 501: Invalid ci (certificate identifier “501”) 

  Authenticate request to send to the server has wrong encrypted data certificate P and  S. Corporeality, register with env = S but authenticate by env = P. Please register and authenticate with the same environment. 

4. 160: Error “Digital Signature Validation failed” during register device.

5. 510: Invalid XML Format 

  Please input the correct Aadhaar Number. 

6. 800: Invalid Biometric data 

   The quality of the image’s iris is not good => Capture the iris again with good quality. 

7. Device Not Ready 

Check if RD Service initializes successfully and checks if the environment is correct.

Check if there is another service using IriShield RD Service. 

8. Can not capture Iris 

Make sure the device is already registered. 

 Restart the RD services from the service section.

9. Server Communication error: 

  + Check if you can use a browser like Chrome to access:  

Step 1:  Check if there is Proxy => should configure proxy for RD Service.  Step 1: Go to Control Panel => Network and Internet => Internet Options =>  Choose Connections Tab => Choose LAN Settings.

Step 2: Open setting “IriShield-USB MK2120UL Management Service Setting”  (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Iritech\IriShield-USB  MK2120UL Registered Device Package\IriShield-USB MK2120UL Management  Service Setting) and configure network proxy if you are using a proxy.

Step 3: Restart the device management service in either way: 

 Restart service "IriShield-USB-MK2120UL_RD_ClientMgmtService"  

found in Windows Services Manager 

(run "services.msc" to open the services manager window). 

- Restart the operating system. 

 

10. IriShield Client Management: 

 

init failed “Invalid Device Serial Number”   IriShield serial number needs to be sent to IriTech for adding to the whitelist and checking RD Service license on the Management server.
